9 Benefits of 'Abundance' Mindset
Something wants to come out, I'm not sure what it is but this an attempt to find out.
Something about... surrender? The end of trying to control things?
In the beginning surrender can feel TERRIFYING.
Imagine how it would feel like to stop seeking happiness... your brain might start saying, "HEY WE'RE MISSING OUT ON OUR CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY LIFE! WHY AREN'T YOU EVEN TRYING?!"
After that period of extreme fear fades away, you will begin to see that the things in your life actually start working out MUCH BETTER than before. And why? Because the actions you take are no longer an attempt to find happiness. Now, you already feel happy WHILE you are taking action. BOOM. Welcome to your new life.
You might find yourself sitting in a coffee shop and grinning like Spongebob Squarepants, and you don't care about what people think about you because you know that you are radiating healthy energy to those around you.
You start to believe that maybe any situation in the day can become FUN.
You begin to take better care of your body because you are less distracted than in the past, and now when your body asks for help you can be aware of it much faster than before. Stay hydrated!
When you stop looking for happiness, you are telling your brain: "We already have all the necessary ingredients for happiness." And this triggers a NEW mindset for you, people usually call this mindset: ABUNDANCE.
The abundant mindset will cause a healthy effect in the following 9 areas of your life:
1) Health
- You will no longer seek constant comfort in unhealthy food because you already feel comfortable. It doesn't mean you necessarily have to quit your favorite foods, but your mental health will no longer depend on them.
2) Wealth
- Your mental health will no longer depend on your financial wealth because you KNOW you can use the abundant mindset to create value for someone who is willing to pay you for it. Generating money becomes fun!
3) Relationships
- Your mental health no longer depends on having a partner /tribe or not. You will no longer be distracted by the constant search for a partner/friend and you will be able to focus on the things you love to do. This will actually help you to attract the right partner/tribe to join you on your life journey. The cool thing is that you will already ne experiencing happiness BEFORE that partner/tribe arrives.
4) Mindset
- "The sky is the limit" will feel too limited. Suddenly it feels like there are no limits. Anything can happen, you become totally open to that possibility. Think about the Wright brothers, the guys who invented the airplane. The whole world thought they were stupid and crazy but today you can sit in a flying vehicle that soars in the clouds while a flight attendant asks you, "Would you like red or white wine?"
5) Emotions
- Whenever an emotion makes you feel discomfort you will be aware of it VERY quickly, and you will find yourself constantly making adjustments in your nervous system to get back into an abundant mindset. The cool thing is that you will be able to teach other people how to do this as well, your loved ones will benefit GREATLY from your ability to teach self-awareness.
6) Purpose
- Before having an abundant mindset, my life purpose was: find happiness. Once the abundant mindset is turned on, happiness is REALIZED. I say realized because you realize it was already there! Like looking for your glasses when they were on your face. Anyways. When this happiness, suddenly your life purpose is not clear anymore. But happiness is still there, so you do not feel distress during this period. When you are in this phase, FOLLOW YOUR GUT FEELING. Your gut feeling will have you take action in such a way that it begins to reveal your purpose. It could be a long term purpose OR a short term purpose. When it is revealed, CONTINUE FOLLOWING YOUR GUT. Enjoy the ride :)
7) Passion
- I feel like this is connected to purpose. Maybe it is the motivation behind the purpose, the reason why you feel drawn to it. My passion is to assist people in realizing their potential, I love watching the expression on people's faces when they realize how amazing, powerful and unique they actually are.
8) Contribution
- I feel like this is connected to passion... what is it that you love to share with others? If you were a billionaire right now, what would you share with others for free?
9) Spirituality
- This is actually how I got started, and it triggered growth in the other 8 areas. This is also why I started the podcast, I realized that there was a link between psychology, self development and spirituality. Spirituality will help you to understand WHY you are already happy even when you don't feel it. The meaning of "happiness" becomes OBVIOUSLY DIFFERENT from pleasure, and when you see that you cannot unsee it. So exactly WHY are you happy already? If I told you, you wouldn't believe me. Everyone has to find out on their own. Enjoy that adventure :)

When I started writing this blog post I had no idea what was gonna come out, and all of this just happened. This post just wrote itself. Do you see what is happening? This is surrender. This is letting things unfold. This is wu wei. Have faith in it. You are already happy, have faith in that. But what does "happiness" mean? If it is not clear, ask for clarity. Ask who/what? How can I say this in a way that makes sense in 2024... ask your consciousness? Yeah, ask your consciousness. It already has all the answers you are looking for. Have faith in that.
