Healing Generational Trauma
Honestly, I am a very efficient person. And I think efficient is a nice way to say lazy. People have demonized the word 'lazy' but I guess that's because we need hardworking little worker bees for our societies to function, but that topic is for another day.
When I think of 'generational trauma' I think of a clusterf*ck of different psychological traumas inherited from people that I'll never know. I imagine these traumas were passed down to the elders in my family who I love, who then accidentally passed it on to me, my sibling and my cousins, and if we are not aware of this then we will continue to pass on these traumas onto the next generation.
So... now what do we do?
Do we tackle these traumas one by one?
Hey I said I'm efficient/lazy! I'm not gonna do that!
My gut says there is a way to tackle literally ALL of the traumas at the same time.
(Of course another option would be to medicate/distract yourself for the remainder of your life. Unfortunately if you do this, you WILL feel the entire weight of the trauma as you lay on your deathbed... I don't know about you but that's now how I wish to say goodbye to this 3D world)
I have chosen to speak directly into my inner world. It kind of feels like an abyss in there. I told the abyss, "I'm ready to face the shadow, hit me with EVERYTHING YOU GOT." I told you I'm efficient/lazy.
What do I feel at this moment? A pressure around my eyes, kind of like my eyes are sinking into itself. There is some kind of healing going on in me, and I am observing it with compassion. Self-compassion is something that not everyone has learned yet, not even vegans. Some vegans seem to have unlimited amounts of compassion towards animals, but still carry hatred towards humanity. Unfortunately, vegans themselves are humans, and by straight up logic their hatred spills onto themselves. What is the miscalculation here? That humans are also animals, we are just the animals that have learned the skill of writing and labeling. The current species of human have literally labelled themselves as the 'wise humans', Homo Sapiens. And as we all know, the one who labels himself as wise is not wise. The one who claims to be the enlightened one is not the enlightened one.
Healing takes courage. Are you ready? Most people you know might not be doing this. Every advertisement you see might encourage you to distract and medicate yourself. However, if you choose to go on this inner journey feel free to reach out to others who are on this path. They are out there, I have found them online and in person as well. Those who have made progress in their healing feel the responsibility to assist others in their healing as well. Attract your tribe 😃
