Getting a Good Night's Rest, WOW!
I finally got better rest last night and this morning I felt a HUGE difference in my mental health. Sure I felt a bit groggy from the edible and big dinner that I had the previous evening, but there were no toxic thoughts.
(As a side note, I just heard Tony Hinchcliffe [host from Kill Tony] mention that when he had food poisoning he became aware of a toxic dialogue going on in his mind. I think we are onto something!)
Give your body what it needs to be healthy, it will thank you! Treat it as if it was your kid. You wouldn't feed your kid crappy food and make him/her live in a dirty room right? So don't do it to yourself. You wouldn't tell your kid that he/she is not good enough as a human being right? Then don't do it to yourself. You wouldn't bully your kid into feeling ashamed for making mistakes right? Then don't do that to yourself. Be the adult figure to yourself that you wish you had had as a child. Be kind, be supportive, be optimistic, be encouraging, be silly, be a coach to yourself. And who is "yourself" in this case? I think we can say it is your nervous system. Show your nervous system that everything is okay, and that you are moving with the flow of life while also letting go of beliefs that no longer serve you.

I highly encourage you to look into this, and to find ways to increase your own EQ. It is life changing. Most people seem to be too distracted or pessimistic to look into this. Be mindful of who you spend time with, we become the average of the 5 people we spend time with.
An increased level of EQ will give you a better experience in the workplace, friendships, romantic relationships, physical health and more.
