Enjoy the Journey

Once upon a time in Virginia... someone close to me said "Are you saying it's not the destination, but the journey that we should enjoy? COME ON NICK!"

Who made wisdom into something cheesy? Was it Hallmark? Walmart? Disney? Maybe we'll never know! Something is benefiting from our ignorance, but that topic is for another day...

Imagine living your life and having the belief that happiness is only found in the after-life. Well what about your life RIGHT NOW? Isn't this the journey right now? Are you enjoying it? If not that's okay, if you are reading this then you are still alive and you still have time to enjoy it.

How thankful are you throughout the day? Are you intentionally trying to increase how thankful you are every day? Did you know that a by-product of GENUINE gratitude is a release of dopamine and serotonin? (Fake gratitude doesn't release anything, I already tried it and of course failed epically). Some people say that happiness isn't something you go and find, instead happiness is simply a by-product of gratitude. So happiness is FREE. Have you ever met sad rich people? Learn from their miscalculations.

This post is a reminder to myself, be thankful DURING the journey. Be thankful FOR the journey. This life eventually will end, and I want to reach the end saying "Well that was amazing, thank you!" .

Try an experiment. Intentionally increase how often you GENUINELY give thanks for a month, and see what happens. It could be a game changer ;)

Much love!
